Random Monday Babble

Well some of you know me in spite of my absence and low post count. If you don't, I have been involved in PB as much as possible since the mid 80's. I played 10 man when 10 man was big, I played X-Ball when it first got started and recently my son has dragged me into air soft.

It has recently become very clear that we don't get do overs and my opportunities to check off some things on my bucket list are becoming less and less.

I am going to let my son continue to play air soft but I am going to pursue one of my dreams of playing in an NPPL pump tournament. I have wanted to do this for a long time but with family obligations and other factors it has not happened.

I have decided to find a new pump gun, get in shape, find a team to play with and make this happen.

My point, I will need all the encouragement I can get. Even more importantly is if you have a dream, Chase it down, we only get one go at all this.

Thanks for letting me babble.....

Paul

That's awesome. I'm looking to play this weekend. You wanna try to meet up? I have a few pump guns (one awesome sniper) you could use...or maybe buy? Let me know

That is not a bad idea at all. Let me see how this week unfolds. The following weekend I know is good. Shoot me a PM with your info. PBC is really close to me and my son plays as there.

Thanks man, I will take all the help and practice I can get.

Do it, man! I actually just bought myself a pump as well, but haven't even been able to take it out. And I certainly need to get in shape as well. You look like you're really close too. I'm booked up this weekend, but if you head out next weekend let me know.

PBC has always been a tough field for me to walk on at. Saturdays are usually new players/birthday parties and Sundays seems to be orgainzed teams running practice. At least in my experience. I'd love to just run some pick up air ball.

Thanks Guys,

At PBC they run team practices on Sat and Sunday mornings but anyone can normally jump in and play. Most of the teams are pretty welcoming.

You guys rock, encouragement is always welcome and sometimes needed....

The odd thing is the local pump tourneys have been very poorly attended even though more and more folks have gone to pump...

Curious, did you and your son play pump about three years ago (March 16th at Blackriver's new indoor field at the time) in Fayetteville? I remember playing with a son and father using pumps and 50 round hoppers, was that you?

Best of luck! I want to get to the point of doing 3-5 man pump tourneys if available. Long way to go. Right now I'm working on getting fit too, fixing up my gun to how I want it, and then practice practice practice!

Pump's the best way to play man, the money you save on paint goes right back to playing another weekend

Best of luck!
