The cheapest mags on the market would be RAP4's Dmag. I havn't read up on how well they perform, never used one either.

I used to have a Gen6 T68, and it worked fairly well. It's just a STBB dressed up, so it's easy to fix and maintain. Mine worked well, though from what I've read on here most people avoid them.

There are also two new markers coming out some time this year, one from Milsig and the other Tiberius. Both seem to be looking promising.

personally, i would wait for the tiberius t15 and see how that goes. If you want some info on it, Tiberius Arms T15

here is some magfed advice

DONT WAIT FOR ANYTHING!

you will be left waiting a looooong time.

also dont view mafed like "im looking to get a new high end electro any suggestions?" the questiong you posed is like someone coming up to you and saying 'im thinking about getting into paintball, what do you suggest?'. there is alot of different ways to play magfed, and plenty of markers out there, but budget is your #1 issue. youre basically going to have to get a whole new loadout, so do your research, borrow markers when you can and really figure out what youre going to need.

keep in mind mags. how many rounds do you usually fire? 10 mags=200 rounds, so to get a hoppers worth of ammo you have to spend almost $200, not to mentoin vests and pouches arent cheap, plus your air tank and so on. that being said, after you spend 3-4-$500 on the non-marker part of the package, what do you want to spend on the marker?

what about a pistol?

magfed is fun, and i dont ever play 'magfed only' games. you will love it im sure, but you need to keep in mind it wont be as simple as upgrading from your 98c to a dm13.

While i would agree with your statement about waiting a long time, i would disagree with not waiting. But that is personal preference. Personally, im waiting for the right magfed marker that will satisfy my requirements for being a solid+optimized marker. I dont wanna spend money on something i will be disappointed with. There is still a lot of room for magfed tech to grow. I realize that i'll probably end up waiting, but thats a sacrifice im willing to make. I guess whether or not you should wait up to you and whether or not you're willing to wait......duh lol.

I would stay away from anything RAP4. Milsig did build some of their guns at one point but it seems the Milsig-branded ones were always better/more reliable from what I followed over on the MilsimEmpire boards. Doug Brown (creator of Tacamo before Procaps did away with his position and sold the brand to RAP4) is running Milsig USA now so you'd be in good hands customer service-wise.

I do tend to agree that I'd rather wait for the T15 if it were me but that's because I have plenty of pistols and such to hold me over until it eventually comes out. if you're looking to get into magfed in a shorter time frame, you can probably find a decent Milsig setup for relatively cheap used since a lot of people buy them, and quickly realize magfed just isn't for them and sell them off.

heres one on x7og for sale, http://www.x7og.net/paintball-buy-se...-tank-etc.html

i agree milsig is a good direction to go. i use a mkv, and other than when ive used garbage paint, ive had no problems with it. still waiting on the dmags for it, 2 years now? i agree on finding the right marker, but everyone seems to imagine the marker they cant get is the one they want. you can play if youre sitting around waiting. if you are talking about waiting to upgrade, thats much different than waiting to get into a style of gameplay

ive heard plenty of people say to avoid rap4, many of them havent even touched one of their markers. i like mine, and as much as i know it could be better, i dont have issues other than running out of mags. alot of people feel they neeeeed the 13/3k tank in the stock, if youre one of them, get something with a spoolie in it. i run a 90/45k on my back with a remote, and love the setup, but i love the kick of the blowback and efficiency never crosses my mind.

or you could always text the waters with a tpx, if magfed isnt your jam, at least you could rock it as a sidearm with your pump as primary. just run 2 mags and co2 in the gun. the tpx is awesome, i dont even understand how its so accurate.

i still think youre absolute best bet is to hook up with someone who will let you test drive their gear. sometimes you dont know how much you love/hate a marker till its in your hands sending fools off the the deadbox with dirty goggles.

I would suggest getting a TIPX or a T8.1 a new mag fed rifle is released every couple of days it seams but there hasn't been and i don't think there will be a new mag fed paintball pistol coming out for a while mainly because there isn't much improvement that could be done to the TIPX or T8.1

i would suggest the TIPX just because of the future release of the ZITAMAG that holds 20 paintballs or first strikes and the fact that the magazines will be much cheaper than T8.1 mags and they hold more paintballs/first strikes plus i think it looks much cooler.

A few weeks ago I played with a bunch of mag fed guys at a limited paint game and found it fit well with my stock class. They were a great bunch to play with and I started getting curious about the whole mag fed thing, but it seems so spuradic and underground I can't hardly find any info on it and what I do find seems cryptic. Earlier today, I bumped an old thread in the Sugestions sub forum to add mag fed to the Armory here. I think this style is going to continue to grow and develop at a higher rate than anything we are currently accustom to. I hope it prospers, because I like the play style.
