Not sure yet... I will chrono all shots so we can see how it does shot to shot.

Flatlines use more air than regular barrels as they are larger bore... But, you keep the velocity lower than a regular barrel too.

I have found that if I have my J&J on (with the apex) shooting 280fps. And I only switch out the barrel to the flatline, I still have to turn up the velocity as it will be only shooting about 250-260fps.

My target velocity will be around 270-280fps max. I need to remember to get one of my tanks filled tomorrow... I have a bunch with "some" air in them, but I'd rather start with a full tank.

Needs a foregrip pump action that flips the barrel for you. Then you are truly epic.

That would be cool!

I'm seriously considering going next door to the machine shop to have a custom made "spinner" that I can use instead of the original flatline adapter. I have an idea in my head that would be simple to make, and then I could "click" to the direction I wanted it to spin...

Plus, I could then make that part smaller to size it more for current paint...So it would act as a sizer...

I've already taken a piece of electrical tape and put it inside the adapter to make it fit the paint better, and that worked like a champ!

I made a little change to it, so I can lay down and stabilize my marker while I have my ZoomCam on it.

Have you tried turning the apex so it counter-acts the flatline? I'm curious which way the the ball curves.

It would be pretty awesome(though impossible) if the paint flew in an S.

Yeah, that was one of the first things I did! I thought it would break paint... But, if you set it right, the two spins counteract each other and it shoots like a normal barrel! (flatline upside down, and apex 2 right side up, with the Apex at 3 clicks).

It is pretty odd to be spinning the ball two different ways, and then it shoot like a regular barrel!
