Paintball teams/clubs and community service.

Hello!

Our paintball team (or maybe its more accurately called a club, I don't know) is going to be holding its first food drive at the end of June. Which is great! We'll have drawings, with tickets given out based on food donations. Already got some prizes, including filled paint pods and an hour massage at a local massage therapy place.Currently trying to get more stuff, and the field owner wants to pitch in too

What I was wonder, though: what have the rest of you done? We're a pretty new group, our team has men and women, teens and adults, and various levels of experience. I'd like to find good ways for us to get together on and off the field, to represent our home field and our sport, you know?

Any ideas? Suggestions? We made lunch for bunch of folks on our field's women's game day, and our head techie guy has marker maintence days/workshops once in a while...

it's usually a good idea to do a themed game that has some sort or connection to the game. we did a G.I. Joe game/ toy drive, we did a thanksgiving turkey vs pilgrims food drive. we are planning on doing a "like a sir" game in july and are going to try and get it to benefit good will. (if you wear a suit you bought from good will get $5 off entry or if you bring clothes to donate $5 off or something like that) try to get the field owner involved, makes them, and the local scene look way better and it gets people into the game.

Cool!

I just emailed the local community workday group for a schedule. Our team shirts are a screaming orange, so they'll be visible. I think it'll be good for the kids, definitely. And me with my lazy butt
