These reviews don't paint a very good picture for it.

We actually used the chill-its towel (on that same page) in Copperas Cove. We kept them in the ice chest, soaking. They were great for a break.

In other games we have run large camelbaks with ice water, but the humidity and the field size help us decide if the extra weight and body insulation is a good trade. If it's one of those days that sweating doesn't help, drinking ice water blends beats the little bit of cooling in a work towel. On a dry day, I will happily tank up when I come to get paint. However, if you run around a lot without returning to the staging area, you need to pack the water anyway.

I think all of the different weather accessories are pretty personal in preference as well as dependent on the weather. You have to have one to try out, and then it may only fit certain game days anyway.

Don't expect to shiver wearing it but I'm pretty happy with it so far. I have the sleeveless undershirt.

I usually try and wear the football style jerseys (ie. the multiple hole, mesh style that Spec Ops, Tippmann, and Valken have). They breathe and allow you to feel a bit of a breeze. My Spec Ops one have lasted what seems like forever and I just grabbed a Valken one to give a try. They're usually cheaper, too.
