I have had good luck removing Jewels with heat and Citrus based sticker remover. More so heat.

would it be possible to nickel plate most of the parts like the body and frame? if so who can do it

best way is a heat gun and a dental pick works great for me

and lift slowly. If you can get them off without leaving the glue on the metal, you can save them in a safe place away from dust and just put them back on when the parts come back. Clean the area with alcohol just in case the anodizer left any thing on the surface.

I may be wrong, but I'd assume anyone that can chrome plate an object can also nickle plate; as nickle is one of the processes in triple chroming.

Every chrome plating operation I've ever seen on TV was done in Southern California. I'll assume again your search to find someone to do it will be easy.
