Dart rope gun

I ran across this add in a electrical supplier flyer. It looks like a Nelson but I don't see pump thoughts?

It looks pretty cool but here is their site the laser line. On their front page they have a retrofitted sypder clone.

Is the fact that it's semiauto really needed?

I used to have a spud gun and tennis ball combo to hang my radio antenna in a tree up in Maine - same idea. Best part is it would fire on hair spray, gasoline, whiskey, etc - no need to bring a tank along.

Are you an electrician, 98ssuck? If so, cool.

First time I seen that Rack-A-Tier ad I Google searched the gun and found an article about the history behind it. The article also showed a picture of a Phantomesque gun. I want to say that the first iteration was made using an Autococker; but there was a problem with gathering parts for mass production. Interesting read if you guys can find it.

How do you wind the line back?

The one I had was a spring loaded dart gun with a zebco fishing reel attached. It shot only 50-60 feet, but it was fun to play with when work was slow.
