Also if you shoot back, you will likely be in the open and prone to getting shot more by those around.

At that game there were a lot of people concentrated into a small area during parts of the day. I got bonus balled a couple times but not too bad. I would just wave out and then hustle out of the area out of the line of fire and hopefully not into my own guys shooting.

I did see 2 players from the other team that wiped 3-4 hits really get little up as they were finally leaving the bunkers because the other players weren't too happy.

I wasn't able to stay until the end of the game though. Were there some good prizes given away?

Black barrel covers will get you bonus balled.

Was playing at an indoor field and had my hand on the door knob to exit and 3 to the back. I turned around and yelled at a kid about 20 feet away " what gives " I am out and exiting. His response if you can't take the pain then you should not be playing.

He found out what pain was in the next game. The term "lit up" does not begin to describe what he got.

It happens. It's paintball. Yes some people are a little too trigger happy. But again, it's paintball. It doesn't hurt that bad and the sting is over after a minute. Just grin and bare it. Whenever it happens to me, I just shake my head as I continue to walk off with my arm in the air. Maybe wear more protective clothing if you don't like the sting cuz unfortunately, it's just gonna happen.

I don't mind getting overshot, I do mind when people still shoot you and you've called yourself out, in either case, I was wrong, I should have just ran towards the dead box instead of walking towards it.

They gave away a Valken gun and barrel set (I think?), TPX Pistol, pod harness, and some other stuff, I still had fun (only one bad incident, rest of the day was fine). Although when the final assault on nuke town happened, we were not allowed to use the pirate boat as cover? I thought that was lame, but yeah, I still had fun, and probably more when I rock my SR-1.

And this is why i do not play at CPX nor PBE. Ref are just a joke over there. Plus the number of kids that just want to do stupid sh** at PBE is another joke. Look up PBE on youtube and watch the stupid video's you find. Ill stick to the smaller fields.. Badlands.. Splatter zone... Fox.. Sudden impact.

I've been lit up countless times walking off the field and have accidentally shot refs that cross my line of fire a few times. It's not intentional and I think its just part of the game. If some chowder head wants to dump a string at me when I'm walking off then whatever.

I did come close to losing it once when I was in a building with the last guy on my side and we were surrounded and out numbered 18-2. One guy runs up to the wall and sticks his muzzle around the door frame pointed at my chest from about 2 feet away. I called safety and surrender and he starts wailing on me. Maybe he didn't hear me, but he just kept going. On about the 10th shot my team mate smacks his gun the the ground and steps on it and he finally stops firing. I walked to the doorway with my hands up and told the guy "Not cool" and got lit up from 5 other players while I'm exiting the building. I got pissed and yelled "I'm out" at the top of my lungs and got a sorry back from a girl in the group. I then exited the area to cool off. 10 years later and I still feel like I handled it badly but it pissed me off. What if it were a little guy in the building out in his first trip? I'm big on player safety and having a good time and this incident didn't sit right with me. That all being said, NEVER shoot back. You just throw gas on a testosterone fire and it may have been an honest mistake.

I've accidentally hit an out player a time or two, usually that was because they were out but didn't have a hand or gun up and I didn't see their barrel bag. Honest mistake, though I also didn't put a rope onto them, just a couple shots.

In the same regard, I can let a couple stray shots go on my way out, but someone putting a rope into me would piss me off and I'd be looking for a ref. That type of behavior should result in the ref punching their player card at a game. If it's walk on, they should be warned and then removed if it remains an issue. "It happens" is not an acceptable or valid excuse.
