New pump handle design interest thread

Well since it was dead at work today I was futzing around in SW with pump handle designs. Kinda taking a minimalistic approach with the assumption that quite a few people I know play with hitman style handles exclusively so for them the grip shaped handle is unnecessary bulk. Anyhow here is what I came up with

This is still completely in the air. I am not sure how much it would cost or how long it would take to manufacture. Odds are though I will have to get the shape made by someone with a CNC lathe since it would take me forever to make it manually. If I can drum up enough interest though I will look into it further and get costing and all that jazz.

Interesting idea there tjd10684, I like the bullet idea. I was wondering though would the exposed bottom guide rod be uncomfortable? Or get in the way?

Although I have never seen anything like this before so maybe it would work. Looks like it would be a lighter setup.

Ha! I like it! Not sure it's something I'd actually purchase or use, but it's certainly cool to look at

I was kinda wondering that myself but like I said the design is still WAY up in the air. maybe put a .30-06 "cap" over the guide rod?

If they arent really long i could probably run them off for you. even just blank the hard bit on the end and you finish them off manually.

How long is the forward contour until it reaches the largest diameter of the casing?

Interesting idea, and I like the look, kind of more of a pump guide rod cover than a handle. I primarily use my pump handle and sometimes switch to the hit man (if I have one) in weird positions, so it's really not for me. I'll just throw an idea at you though, What if you made it for CCM's "light weight" pump set, then there is no guide rod , other than the pump rod. I think that would clean it up even more.
