I actually got my first mech since my first Tippy 98 recently (MicroMag) and I'm looking forward to using it once I get it running optimally. I was playing nothing but pump for a long time, then mixed it the occasional AKA day, and now it might be nice to have something in between. Though, truth be told, the Viking can do everything the Mag can, only better, and is on-par in terms of reliability.

I stand corrected and actually I have shot a Viking. A friend of mine who refs at one of the local fields let me use his when my old Angel was down for the day. You're right certain electros have soul. AKA's and E-cockers I find have the most. With that said I was talking about mass produced currently on the market electros not having any soul. My impulse also has no soul but shoots consistently quietly and is super efficient (160PSI operating pressure)

Looks like a Palmers with an external adjustment knob. I have a similar one on my Orracle.

I was mainly just bustin' balls anyway . But yeah, I think electros of the older, less disposable generation have distinctive personalities. Imps certainly do (insofar as they behave like petulant two year-olds).

That being said, I've never owned a newer electro so I accept that I might be talking out of my ***.

Just got back from a day of playing with my new to me Karnivor. She has a soul without a doubt, named her Simone (after the singer for Epica, love them redheads). The grip frame is big enough that I was able to put 3 fingers below the trigger guard and just use one finger on the lower part of the fang trigger. I never cared for double triggers however it was nice to slip up and double trigger on a covering fire move, so having the option of both was very nice indeed.

It does bring me to a problem, Between Simone and Shelby (my ccm s5 with a slider) I have lost any desire to get another gun. Do I have to turn in my mcb card now! I like it here.

electros do have some soul and character, but it comes with time. On the other hand, mechs and pumps the character is more apparent. I love my pumps, mech, and my electros pretty much equally but for different reasons.

The only electro I own that really has no soul is my axe. The thing is borderline lifeless but it ALWAYS shoots.

I guess it's the camera angle. It looked ridiculously long and skinny to me.

Electros have no soul. Neither do mechs, or any other paintball gun. Its just a hunk of metal and plastic. Any 'soul' that is perceived is just your attachment to it.

No. NO! Well, that destroys my theo-pneumatic worldview... what am I to do with all of these "Way of the Orracle" tracts that promise markers salvation from the original sin committed in the Gardner of Eden?

I been a mech and pump player since 1999 till 2011.

Then I decided to try an cheap electro picked up a DP E1. Great little gun but just lacks that fun factor I get from my Mags, Tippmanns and Pumps. So I plan to sell the E1 off as its collecting dust.

Now I giving Mag fed a try seems next step for a mech lover like myself.
