The MCB Effect (or is it a disease?)

As some of y'all know, I haven't gotten to play much in the last 8 months ever since I got my cancer diagnosis. I've been out a few times, but I'm obviously not nearly at the speed that I used to be.

I realized yesterday that I've officially been on this forum long enough to have caught the MCB. I had one gun (Phantom) back when I was playing every weekend. Now that I haven't played in so long, I've got five (Phantom, Hammer7, Sniper, eNMEy, Ion). Of those five, NONE of them are complete and working; they're all projects. I guess my mind subconciously bought into the "if I can't play, tinkering and building is the next best thing" mentality.

Of course, the plan is that, once I'm healthy enough to play again, I'll have five nice, upgraded, tuned guns that will each fit a different niche. But I guess if I never get to go back to playing regularly like I used to, I'll be having one heck of a gun sale eventually.

I know there are lots of members here who have tons of gear and haven't played in months (even years in some cases). I guess I've become one of them without even realizing it.

I've always been a keyboard warrior. Paintballing is too expensive for me

Hope you feel well enough to play soon.

Some people have been on the ride for a long time, and they begin to question: Is this real, or is this just a ride? And other people have remembered, and they come back to us, they say, "Hey, don't worry, don't be afraid ever, because this is just a ride." And we ... kill those people." - William Melvin Hicks

Vegas hits 100+ WAY more than Tampa does. We've got that nice off-shore breeze off the Gulf. It's more humid here, but they've got 20 degrees on us in the summer.

(And remember...haven't played in many moons. It was about 70 my last time out.)
