sentry gun field legal?

I just finished a job for a client and I am sure I can convert it to sentry gun for paintball. So I was wondering if fields would allow it to be used at all, and if so would auto tracking be allowed or would someone need to fire every shot? Hell I can run it remotely from across the globe if I wanted to.

So any though thoughts?

A marker that can shoot the other team but which can't be shot out? I'd think not. Plus, autotracking doesn't have any sort of IFF I'd guess which would probably make it more of a detriment to your team than an advantage.

I can program it for IFF and I figured like with the tanks that can't be shot out..... also blinding the camera woukd disable it.

Wait or people firing out the side doors of a helicopter?????? No you are right too far fetched.

personally if it can be adapted for paintball I would say go for it if the cost is low enough that in the case of any "big game"/scenario type of event did not want to "purchase" one for say a "bunker/pillbox" type of use. Most places would have a ref close to the "pillbox" already having one with a kill switch for/or the ability to change the IFF settings for the "turret" would not be a big deal. Also not to forget someone would have to supply and then keep supplying it with paint. The more I think about it the better it sounds as an objective point in a large game/scenario type setting.

My questions are how portable is this and how easy would it be to adapt to say a helmet cam with a shoulder/backpack/arm mounted device.

The long term answer is how do insurance companies see it? Do insurance companies get involved in 'blind fire' requirements? If so, they may have something to weigh in on here.

If you have someone needed at the "machine" needing to feed it paint with a monitor of some type hooked to the cam it isn't "blind fire" is it? Otherwise insurance companies would have an issue with backup cameras and accidents occurring during the use of said system no?

the electronics would be about $70, then the motors and camera I'm guessing around $100-150 since It wouldn't need as big of motors as what I just used maybe cheaper. then hardware maybe $30 if made out of wood, and some electric marker lets say an Ion since there cheap so another $100 there. $300-350 to build it I'm guessing. could use any laptop/netbook that has a USB connection and can run a downloaded script so no ipads or android tablets. could even put in a kill switch pad for the enemy to shoot.

could use a game controller to fire it so it isn't exactly blind, then it could also be mounted to a tank...........as for the weight 4 pounds plus the markers and paint maybe a little less if it can use smaller motors. and size well that's up to the marker and paint source, but the motor and gear source could be as small as 4x4

Here is how it plays out....

- likely will be treated like a tank... how ever your field knocks them out.
- do you trust you fields clientele to not steal it.
- do you like being hated.

I ran into the same thing with my drone its love it or hate it. Purely black and white no grey areas.
