Seems like you guys need to hug it out..
I would suggest you at least stay away from the Classic's and the Defiant 2s..
Im thinking at this point no matter what timmy you end up with you gonna be in over your head..

He won't listen to reason. I have half a mind to drive over to his house and beat him over the head with an Ego.

I've owned a couple and the only one I really cared for was a 2k6 Alias.

However I am an Ego fan and I would say just save another $50 and snag a used '07. Which to me, is the beat year of any Ego.

Well I enjoy their coffee and always look forward to "Roll Up The Rim To Win." The donuts are not bad, I like the Old Fashion Glazed or the Apple Fritter's.................. Oh wait! I should have read the OP's post and not just the title eh.

He nick named the gun Reggie.

Sure, if you're willing to wait a month and cover International shipping, I'm putting a 2k5 together for that purpose (gen2 sleeve, gen3 frame); looking to sell @ a local tourney but wouldn't mind an online sale. You can have your pick of a few parts I have available if you want (barrel's, HPR's, LPR's, front blocks, volumizer, gen3 ram/cap, bolt, on/off ASA, etc.).

It'll have a UTB with a Mac43, same as my custom Lasoya, except I'll be wiring a 2 button UTB with a dye membrane pad on the stock gen3 membrane plate (the adaptation job for that membrane pad came out pretty good if I say so myself). If you're really serious about it you can PM me, this isn't the classifieds section...

The wait time would be mostly due to my waiting for my severance payment to come through and some additional time for the UTB to come over and for me to wire it too, it's really all the build's missing to call it done.

My custom Lasoya (as a reference on some of the mods I can also do in case you're genuinely interested, some have already been done to the 2k5 body):

Parts description (top to bottom & front to back):
  • Empire 2k2 feedneck
  • WGP Kaner barrel " .682" " bore (bores out at .680")
  • Scenario dreams blue laser eyes with spacers
  • ANS venturi bolt with bored out air passage to the same diameter as body air transfer hole
  • Blast hole mod
  • Gen3 LPR
  • Gen3 mini volly
  • Evil front block, drilled for alias set screw and tapped for 10/32 barbs
  • 3/32" ID barb on front block to 'noid port
  • Empire poppet with gen5 cup seal, mechanical dwell shortened to 2.7mm
  • Alias ram sleeve, barb ports tapped for 10-32 barbs
  • Belsales swivel QEV on front barb port
  • Lurker eigenram/spring
  • CP gen3 adjustable ramcap
  • 3/32" ID barb on rear port
  • Crankwalk m3 barbs on 'noid
  • Mac43 'noid
  • Azodin rock steady reg (mostly for aesthetics)
  • 2k5 frame
  • Alias trigger guard
  • Modded gen 4 trigger
  • UTB with 2200uF capacitor and original 2k2 board on/off switch
  • Olive Invert .45 grips
  • Empire mini rail
  • Dye airport non on/off ASA
