Yes, the grips halves are glued and are not supposed to come apart.

Red spring is first strike spring.

the glued halves is normal.. both 8.1s I have,have a bit of what appears to be glue coming from the seams INSIDE the grip/lowerhalf .. almost a darker yellowish if I remember correctly.

And although I could be wrong, you are able to get the solid mag Co2 stem, unscrew the stock and throw a tank on there, or leave the stock and use a fill nipple on the bottom of the block the stock is attached to for use of a remote line.
