For my metalsmiths out there
Hey folks...needing some assistance in an area I am not versed in at all.
I would like to take an image that I have, a logo and make a stencil or two of different sizes that I can then use with a wood burner or even paint or pencil or what not.
I do some various wood working projects and such and would like to put our logo on the bottom of some of these projects. And doing it free hand every time is really not what I am looking for.
I am not certain what would or would not be feasible or even recommended in a situation such as this. So if any of you have that are more proficient in that aspect than I, I would greatly appreciate some guidance.

I've made a logo before out of plasma cut pieces that I cleaned up with a grinder and welded together. Just heat it up with a torch and go. This only works for logos that are big and chunky though. For something with fine lines and text you would probably need it milled.
Stencil is easy, we did that all the time for tagging when we were kids. Cardboard to get it how you want it then just thin plastic from a craft store for the final. You can make em with a razor blade. Perfect for any kind of painting, but spray works the best.

Here is a custom woodburning/brands maker
Woodburning Tools by Colwood: Branding Irons
And one for metals:
Infinity Stamps - Quality Custom Metal Stamps for Marking Steel, Jewelry, Leather, Clay, Wood and Plastics
I know there are more... I just can't remember the one I was looking at for a metal stamp for knife blades... that and I'm not ready to cut and shape my own blades yet.

A friend of mine carves decoys. He uses one on the bottom of each when he is done to mark them.
