"Paintball" movie on Chiller

Is anyone else watching this on the "Chiller" channel right now? Or has anyone seen it before? Is it any good?

It is just terrible. And the story itself has been done a few times (ie Zero Boys, Chucky, Enforcer). Basically, a bunch of people head into the woods for some 80s-style paintball. (Meaning, wargames influenced).

And while they play paintball, someone is hunting them with real firearms.

And thats the whole movie. It is just stupid and absurd, and you can tell that nobody involved in the film had ever actually played the game until they filmed the movie.

A really good paintball movie is Blackballed. Yes, the jokes are stupid, but they did perfectly capture the essense of modern tournament play. "Failure To launch" also did a reasonably accurate job.

One of my favorites was "Alls Fair" from the 80s. It had a big cast, and they used SMG-60s, MOD85, and all sorts of custom nelson, and sheridans. It was ridiculous, but it didn't take it self serious, like with the "paintball" movie.

I totally agree, one of the worst movies I've seen. Although I did watch to the end for the "Oh COME ON! Like that would happen." moments
If you like poorly made, non-researched movies, then this is for you.

Well, sadly... I sat through that entire movie last night. I agree, the story was pretty dumb.

This.
It's sort of sad that a film has never actually been made about the REAL story of Paintball. Depicting the lives or ordinary everyday people, with broad socio-economic backgrounds, ethnic backgrounds and political backgrounds who found a common ground in Paintball.
The story of people, and their passion for this, this most life-defining recreation.

The depiction of those of us who were shunned, called "nut-jobs", "armchair commandos" and worse, "survivalists praying for World War three", "terrorists in training", "white supremacists" who weathered on, despite the general negative public opinion and negative press, and the fact that nearly every Paintball film and television show showed us in a bad light, and playing unsafely.

The REAL story of Paintball. This film NEEDS to be made.

I love Blackballed...funny stuff there! Splat is another one of those really corny attempts at a paintball movie that isn't total crap. Everything I heard about this "Paintball" though tells me to stay away...even though it sounds like it may have a sort of "Mystery Science Theater 3000" potential to it.

Splat! is a typical low budget under dog sports film
Paintball is a typical low budget horror/suspense film

Watch them on that basis and they are OK
Watch them expecting something special about paintball and you will be disapointed
