| MCB Member | I need someone who is good with STBB's Hi there. One of my prized posessions is a very custom Line SI Promaster, formerly owned by Squid. I used it for one game day, and it performed admirably. I was kicking it with a team of mostly VM's Should I have posted this in the WTB section? WTB repair time? Eh. Forgive me but it's an odd post.

| MCB Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Southern Maine | There is a lot of info about Promasters here With promasters, leaks come from 2 primary places: 1- valve 2- gasline For the valve, when reinstalling the valve, its very easy to misalign the cupseal/spring, so that it does not seat properly during gas-up, and leaks everywhere. The pins that secure the valve might also be misaligned. You might have also bunged/scratched one of the valve orings. Check the forward valve oring and look for cuts. Try replacing the front with the back oring Or maybe the gasline from the rear ASA to the valve is missing/leaking/broken/etc? nick

| Post Whore Join Date: Oct 2006 | Dunk it like Azzy suggested. To make it easier to find the leak I'd also strip it down so it's just the body and air chamber parts that hold the pressure inside. No hammer, bolt or anything else. If you can work on the Tippmans and Automags then this should be a Piece o' cake. The only spots it can leak from are the air joints and valve body. And given the fact of the spyder compatible valves it would be super easy to find anything you need to fix it. From my STBB's fun it seems like the most ignored part in the darn things is the valve body Orings. Because they are not intended to move at all a lot of folks forget that they are even in there and slowly drying out and crumbling. If it's a barrel or rear body leak then it's likely coming from the valve body Orings. And there's some great info in that linked page.

| Ultimate Battle Monkey Z | Dr. Robert is in the house. I've built back nearly as many of these as the Pukin' Dogs have. In fact, the last one I got running was one that one of the guys on there started and didn't finish. We'll get it running again.

| MCB Member | Thanks! I'll send it out after money day happens. I sunk my savings into a CD and my checking is really low thanks to MCB and two boxes sitting behind me right now. I'll post pics of her just for fun: ![]() ![]() ![]() I usually run her with a 3.5oz out the vertical ASA, and a Qloader slung under her barrel. Very very balanced that way.
