When did BDUs get so valuable?
As I transition back into paintball and replace gear that I lost in the flood, I've found myself looking for come BDUs to wear. My last set was picued up on fleabay for about $7 shipped for the blouse and trousers, in darn near mint condition. Now faded BDUs are running $40 shipped? What gives? We've been at war now for a decade, shouldn't the market be saturated? I can't imagine that it's just preppers that are bracing for the Obamapocalypse, and paintballers seem to be wearing more paintball specific stuff these days. So who is buying all of this stuff?
San Antonio is a military mega hub, and our thrift stores used to be packed with old uniforms but their shelves are bare too...

IIRC, they cut the clothing allowance for most of the military, and especially the Army is expecting Yet Another New Uniform within the next year or so. Most soldiers I know are wearing their ACUs until they fall apart, so the surplus market's going to be trash for a long while.

eh, 40 shipped for a used top and bottom isn't terrible. 40 shipped per piece would be way too high though. i'd keep an eye on mcb / a5og / x7og, as you can find some good stuff from time to time.

As an alternative, I got brand new Valken Vtac Seirra tops and bottoms for $35 each on Amazon (you just have to wait until they're down to one or two and the auto pricing kicks in). If you have to pay that much might as well get something with knee pads and stuff...

Lost the Daylight
Go thrift shop hopping until you find some?
We're swimming in them up here.
Really, I just saw a zillion of them recently in town and now I can't remember where. I think it was Value Village over the holidays.
Check CL in Anchorage or Fairbanks, AK areas and see if people will ship? Same with Alaskaslist? I bet some people will.
The correct question is, "Why don't I need another gun?"
How strange to see a lagomorph of such bravery.

Hmmm, I must be sitting on fortune then. I still have a bunch of my old sets of BDUs & DCUs from back in the early 2000s.

Some one should tell them to eat the MRE's and WEAR the BDU's........

Bdus were phased out if the army around 2006-07 iirc. Acus are garbage but I am currently sitting on a butt load of multicam which is far superior.

I was about to reply thinking the OP was complaining about a lack of the old woodland patterned BDUs but, then he started talking about the market being saturated from 10yrs of war, and I got the idea he was talking about ACUs...
That being said, what is the OP looking for? BDUs, ACUs (in orig digital pattern), ACUs in Multicam, or even Combat Utilities (in MARPAT)?
