Apparently I'm a snob

So I realized today that I've become a bit of a snob when it comes to labeling autocockers. For example, today I saw two 2003 autocockers labeled 2003 prostocks. The first thing I thought (besides realizing that I almost bought one of them from a pawn shop a few weeks ago) is that wgp didn't start labeling guns as 'prostocks' until 2004, the next body style. And if I had a dollar for every time I see a 2002 dye cocker labeled a reflex, I wouldn't have to work!! Do you guys do this or am I just nuts?

There was a thread a couple of months back on CC about this very thing. I concur, there is no such thing as a 2003 or older WGP prostock. It was a vertical feed autococker. The dust bodies in this milling were summer editions. The original superstock was an 03 vert feed with a worr blade on it. 2004 vert feeds were renamed prostocks.

Exactly. ^ Though I thought the summer editions were distinguishable by the american flag jewel. And unless the owner switched jewels, I've seen them with a polished finish...

Perhaps those who realize that post 2k guns are the best ones wgp ever made? My main shooter is a 2005 Trilogy. Best cocker that I've ever shot; better than the 1999 custom cocker I had, p&p cold fusions, etc. Their later stuff rocks. Period.

With so many cockers that have been made by different manufactures with different names maybe you could cut us peasant folk a little slack your majesty.

You're right... I suppose not everyone has a folder of pictures on their computer that documents almost every production autococker body ever made... Plebeians.

What's all this noise? Autocockers made after 1999 don't matter... so you can call them whatever you want.
