I'm assuming it's like quidditch.
Disclaimer: I don't have a damn clue how you play quidditch

I've actually played this before. Or atleast with the arrows/bows/masks, maybe not the variations they are playing. (we just did simple team kill-em-all)
The arrows have enough force to knock the masks clean off. Also, if hit in the right places, these things feel like getting hit with a baseball bat, seriously. It was a neat experience, but one i'll likely chose to pass on in the future.

It seems like the draw strengths and velocity of the arrows are very low.
They also seem to be playing with a don't-cross-the-midline rule.
Wouldn't it be very simple for an experienced player to be able to duck behind a bunker to avoid oncoming arrows indefinitely?

From what I've read- It is promoted as a safer alternative to paintball and the Archery Tag game is licensed and the equipment is sold to a 'field owner'. The targets are shot out to win the game or regen eliminated players.
Looks very interesting.
Another version of this could be adapted to paintball as an alternate weapon if allowed by a field. The developer appears to have a very tight control of the game, but a modified arrow is all that it really is.
