From what I've seen they are a clamshell design like a M98. What looks like where u would take the bolt out of the back is actually a tray that holds the battery. I don't know anything about the insides tho.

That has to be the most horriably ugly marker I've ever seen... I think that one trumps the marker Tippmann released last year.....

Yuck!

You mean the one where they took a cheapo drill from Menards or somewhere and just put some paintball marker internals in it?
I agree that was ugly, this one definitely looks like an Ion rip off.

Actually it looks almost exactly like the new Smart Parts Vibe and I believe they are both clamshells. Looking for a pic....

Man! What a bunch of haters!

Looks fine to me. If they're taking on SP on their own ground... Well more power to them! I hope they sell a boatload.

I hear that the Tippmann power drills are selling like crazy in Europe. Of course, they also have unpasturized cheese over there too, so there's no telling what wackyness might be popular.

Here are some pics and diagrams of the internals, + a couple of vids, all taken from this thread on pbn. Looked like a good ION competitor untill SP released the XE and Proto released their SLG.
