The spectra "pro shield" will be the most comfortable because it actually has room to breathe. Or a flex 7 / proflex depending on your preferences (plastic lower vs rubber lower)

Profilers have an amazing lens but my face got very very damp and condensation dripped off the mask after a good hard game.

I have a big gourd and use a grill or spectra. Sounds like I need to check out the profilers though...

I liked my flex 7 I had also but a nice one can be kinda collectable. The spectra I had was also fine, it was just as good as my flex. no one mentioned the flex 8, is it just garbage? I lucked out and my buddy had some profilers I can try out next weekend. I plan on thrying the profilers and going with those or another jt model I suppose. Thanks for all the input.

Other than the full-coverage helmet-type masks, do any masks really do a good job at forehead protection?

Sounds to me like you'd be better off looking into a 100th Monkey bounce cap, or maybe just a couple thick headwraps.

I use a visor on a xfire and it does decent. Some models cut off right above the lens and I don't want that

Proflex hands down. Every single mask was uncomfortably small until I tried the proflex. And I tried a lot of masks. I asked this same question about a year ago in the ask the experts section, soon after I got a proflex and have not looked back since.

eFlex. I wear a 7 1/2" fitted hat and XL hockey helmets and this is the only mask that fits me well and gives me good protection.
