Making APP 50 Round Hopper Feed Better

My APP 50 round hopper feeds terribly. I loved my Winchester until it got smashed to pieces from a direct it . Has anyone modded their APP to help it feed better? Maybe a ramp or something to help it resemble the steeper part before the feedneck?

I never had a problem with mine...are you overfilling? The capacity is a bit lower than the Winchester, and both are a little smaller than the APP 50 round pods (which hold a hair over 60 paintballs...). The GXGs are just under either hopper's limit, though if you go from a winny to an APP, the tighter fit might be causing jams. A pod lid increased the capacity to where the GXG 50's where pretty good.

Yeah, 30 rounds feeds well, 40 is OK, 50 not really. A lot of bin feeders are like that.

Lock lid or virtue lid mod them if you want to use full 50 round pods. I also took some wet sand paper and polished the area around the stack. Make sure when installing the hopper on your marker that the last ball in the stack is 50% in the stack and 50% in the hopper this will keep the hopper from jamming. My APP feeds just as good as my winchester.

I've had customers buy a 50rd pod and add the flip lid to it.

If you fill them all the way they will lock up every time. I put a pod lid on mine and fill my pods to 45 and that fed well enough. Honestly, haven't used it in a very long time.

Definitely glue your choice of pod lid on. Expanded app hopper is my personal fav... Not easily destroyed like a Winchester. I reload with tac pod or 10 round tubes personally. . Rarely use 50s anymore (I like to be able to do partial reloads without a half full pod making noise on me)

Yes, the 30 round Tac pods are great with the APP 50. It's a perfect combination with a 12g marker that gets a little over 30 shots per cartridge.

I have an APP 50rnd hopper with a Dye Lock Lid top on that has the center cut out and a CCI feed gate put there. It lets me fill with 10rnd tubes.

I had issue with paint getting stuck in the tac pods so I got rid of them. Did you mod the pods to work?

Also if you lid mod the hopper use 1/4'' binding posts I drilled 3 small holes in the locklid or any removable lid you prefer and installed the binding posts. I did this after trying 2-3 different glues that failed on me.
