As far as I know, the NPPL ban at PBN didn't last long. Lots of talk, little action I suppose.

As for the reality show? No idea. I remember them talking about it, but haven't heard a thing since.

The shows been on for several weeks, I caught one episode and it wasn't that spectacular. Basically they show some games from the event and follow one player around his every day life. The episode I saw was there one where Chris Lasoya said he didn't care if he sent someone to the hospital on the field. There was a short discussion on it in a thread here. I haven't seen an episode on TV since then and I wasn't interested enough in it to catch any more episodes.

That being said I have generally enjoyed paintball on TV like PB2X, World Cup on ESPN, Ultimate Areana PB, etc...

I have been watching every episode religiously... It's not a terribly good program, but it's paintball on TV. I've TiVo'd every ep, so I'll see if I can't convert it for us

This week was funny because they focused on LP Fow of Infamous. He works for some Big Paintball Company and the narrator was talking in his Xtreme Narrator voice about Fow's Xtreme Desk Job for BPC (quote: "yeah, it's pretty crazy... I get like 30,40 e-mails per day").

My other favorite quote was Alex Fraige saying (after describing his paintball lifestyle) "I'm just your typical all-american teenager... except that I'm 24."

The paintball matches they show are not very well shot, and it's hard to tell what's going on. The Smart Parts 2006 tournament on ESPN2 last year was much better at showing what was going on during the game.

Anyway... you're probably not missing anything.

Watched the first episode and was disappointed in it. For a "reality" show, it sounded way too scripted and rehearsed, and then proceeded to play mostly footage from tournament games. And like SDawg said - the game footage leaves a lot to be desired. For a show that is supposed to be informing the unknowing masses on what paintball is and the culture that surrounds it, it doesn't do a real good job of it. The first episode had more the feel of MTV Crib's: Paintballa Edition.
