Pawn Shop Finds

I always stop in at the local pawn shops looking for some good buys. Of course, I find the Stingrays for $50 and other cheap Brass Eagles at outrageous prices. Over the last two weeks, I have found some good finds. Last week, I picked up a almost new Tippmann Custom 98 for $30. I couldn't believe it.

Yesterday was my best find yet. At the same store, I picked up a black VSC Phantom with 45 grip and nonCCI t-stock. This gun has minor scratches on it, and it needs a good cleaning from old paint. Before I tell you the price, remember that they are selling Brass Eagles for $50 or more...I picked up this beauty for...$45.

I love my pawn shop. I will have to go back in next week.

Man, pawn shops amaze me...
Did you pull the "This won't cock, ill give X amount less for it!" stunt? My bro did that and got a diablo pump for $3.

A buddy of mine purchased a mint SB pirrahna and a mint green raptor for $35. I keep holding out for one of those 30 dollar Kp finds...

You have to figure though...usually when a Pawn shop buys something from you they turn around and resell it for double. So your $45 Phantom was probably purchased for around $20. To bad the kid selling it needed his crack fast.

Never actually stepped into a pawn shop. They always look a little shady... Need to drop some sterotypes and step in one if you guys are finding these types of deals!!!

Heh, they usually are kinda shady. I tend to drag someone with me in case I need some help when the local crack addicts are pawning thier VCR and get angry.

My local pawn shops go to the other extreme. There is no frigging way I'm paying $300 (even Canadian) for a stock classic autococker.

I keep sticking my nose in those places hoping to find a cheap phantom or VM. Or a working X-Box under $120.

Pawn shops around here usually do have some old paintball gear, but want way too much. For some reason, nearly all of them have Sheridan XTS' in the $50-$75 range. Other markers I have seen include: an old mag for $75, various BE Raptors, and a Tippmann 68 Special. About the only thing I was ever tempted to buy was an old Indian Springs hopper for $5. I really should go buy that...
