Some I know of are not banning Co2 but reducing the availability because once a field get their own HPA compresser it is cheaper and easier to fill than Co2. With the push button stations they have now the players can fill their own tanks this frees up staff to take care of other things, be it reffing, gun repairs, sales or lets the field owner reduce staffing. Where most players(not to mention the liability) can fill their own Co2. Add this to the reduced cost of HPA and the lower failure rate of the rental guns and you have $$$$$$$$$$$$

This is something I wanted to do to mine, is get or make an adjustable bracket replacement, that would not change the gun overall. That could accept any size tank, still using a bracket mounting system.

If you have the right tools it would be easy to come up with.

i wouldn't hack up that nice of a kp. they're only original once, and you may regret it down the road.

My vote is to leave it as is. That is a beautiful gun. Get some main springs and cut them down. If you need to use compressed air, get a small hpa tank. I believe they would fit in the tank rings.

No Co2? thats nutty. Even if they dont fill co2 whats stopping you from bringing you own pre filled tanks? Knowing me Id have to be restrained from shoving the air tank up the field owners rear end if they told me that.

As for the gas source, get a 13ci tank and you're set.
Thanks Gabe but according to those in the know, those 13ci tanks will NOT fit in those rings... I wish they did since that would probably solve both issues... I think I am shooting that hot because I have tendency of pointing the barrel downward, thus forcing liquid co2 into the gun...

It still shoots hot even when I don't do that. Just not as high. But I know when I got it, it was shooting less then 275 for the most part. It's just a recent thing.

I run my other KP with it... I get better fills with the HPA because my local field doesn't have a CO2 pump yet.. they weigh in 3.5oz but it never really is full...

Buy a Female Stab instead.

That's what I use on all of my "tank ring" guns (and previously on my KP-3).
