I admit, I have a fantasy, a full game of only single shot.

Much like stock class, there is a significant difference between using a stock class gun in a normal game, and playing an exclusive stock class game. I think single shot only would be on par, or greater than stock class.

Even with stock class, despite how amazing it is, and despite how everyone always says "it's my favourite day of the season", people are hesitant or resistant to play. I never know how to break that hurdle. I think people's resistance to single shot is the only thing stopping them from playing the most enjoyable games ever. Like the old saying, "less (paint) is more (fun)"

I think you have kind of started a new genre, it's just a matter of how open people are to an amazing style of play.

I thought about doing that. How are you holding the bolt open to load?

I did a Tracer body like this (which I still need to gift to WALZ) I just milled a slot at both the front and back of the action, to park the bolt while loading/firing.

Hmmm. I can't remember if the bolt just stays back once cocked in something like a nelspot. I thought there was still some forward tension on it but I may be mistaken.

This is what I was thinking. Maybe using a phantom body.

If I remember correctly it will hold back. What I'm building is very similar to RussC's ratrod single shot. Got the wire stock and everything.

My single shot was a Nelson based marker, tigershark. I don't need to lock it forward or back to load or fire. It stays forward when firing just due to how a Nelson functions. It is one of my most consistent guns at +/- 3fps on a good day
