The Single shot Club

I'm hoping this can be a place for those of us brave (or silly or stupid) enough to play with a single shot marker can discuss tips, strategies, stories, markers and the like. Who knows, maybe we'll draw more people into this style of play. I know I'm not the first to play this way, but I've played almost exclusively with a single shot pirate for the past two years against all types in all settings so I guess I can start this off.

I have two main single shot pirates. A WALZ build off a pgp2k and a custom palmers. I love both but the walz has seen the most play and Eliminations.

Me with the palmers my twin with the walz at Commando Dday June 2015

He's using a WTF radius gauntlet and I'm using a rock climbing caulk pouch. I use one or the other depending on my mood. I enjoy the rock climbing pouch more because I can ask people to reach in and touch my balls. True story.

Nut pouch on the run

My biggest equipment change that has improved my day of play is this cooler to carry paint and 12 grams and tools/accessories onto the field. Saves a lot of down time and keeps my paint fresh and in good condition.

My biggest tip is to always find and sort your paint and buy the best quality. One ball at a time means I want the best ball possible coming out of that gun.

Please feel free to post up your experiences and equipment etc....

thanks for your time

Double FYI for paintball rules there should be no "offer" of surrender, its either mandatory surrender at X distance when guy is behind you or no surrender and you get shot in the booty. "offer" of surrender makes for some ridiculous and dangerous john woo tactics.

I've played like this once, with you at oxp, but I have to admit it was some if the most fun I've had playing paintball. I just kept them loose in a canvas pouch on my right side, which worked well enough but I would definitely have preferred a chalk bag.
One thing I found helped was to keep one ball in my right hand on the ready for fast reloads

I have extremely sweaty hands. Especially in game. During the summer. Any sweaty ball horror stories?

I feel like wet hand weather sweat or meted snow would instantly deform the ball. Any tips around this?

Maybe a bowlers talc bag? I'd be scared of getting dust in the bore.

Well, i already have a rock climbing pouch, but thats full of chalk for actual rock climbing. Still, might be fun to bring it out and run around with my ego 7 on ramping and try and fit 3 balls into the feedneck with eyes off xD

Everybody likes my ballsack.

Since i saw the vid of slappa with the pirate shooting the guy trying to bunker him I started play one shooter.

Need to do a group pic of my collection, Got 4 dedicated singleshooters. This is my latest build:

Even unscrew the feedneck on my KP3 (Yeah the taiwanese one) to run around with my ballsack.

I've got a Nelson singleshot build in the works. Almost everything is together. Just waiting on the body to come back without a feedneck.
