I'd thought about that. The problem I see is keeping it from rotating inside the feedtube. If you solve this, reply with a link and maybe pictures.

I just run a strip of electrical tape along the ports in the feed tube so they are covered on the outside.

I don't worry about the porting on the barrel. It's so small no meaningful amount of water is going to get in there and even if it did the paint isn't in the barrel long enough for it to be affected.

Iv just been tossing it around, if I could find something cheap I would see if I could do it, something like this I wouldn't want to order either I'd rather be able to put my hands on it, so iv just been waiting to see if anything would land in my lap so to speak

I may do that for this weekend, but. I think I'll work on a 90* pvc something or other that fits in a standard feed neck. We shall see.

RF with an elbow and cram & jam is my choice for rain. A little tape over barrel ports helps too but eventually everything will just be wet and not ideal. Embrace the rain and enjoy superman mud slides!

Find a piece of tygon tubing, slit it to slide over the feedtube.

I've got about 50 feet of clear plastic tubing we use as drain line for a/c units in apartment buildings. Be glad to give you a couple feet for you to experiment with.
