Ya I'd try the simple stuff first before hand warmer

Thin out your lube
Increase dwell OR decrease dwell so you can increase pressure. If you have a shorter barrel that will also serve the same purpose

The short answer is people have been doing that since the 80s, and lots of fields will ban use if you do. That should tell you everything you need to know.

The main problem is it causes dramatic pressure spikes, then drops as you fire. FPS tends to be all over the place. For a regulated gun, this might be manageable, but for an unregulated gun, there is no way to safely chrono.

OP,

No need to mess with dwell on a GTEK, as the Gamma core is dwell-insensitive.

It's what allows the GMEK to be what it is.

Other spools probably could use a little bump, but not that one.

I ended up not having any issues with the G3. 33F outside, new o-rings, Lurker lube. Shot like a champ with no bolt stick.

Clothing wise, with a thermal under layer and BDU's in 33F weather, I felt just right. Any warmer, and I would have been sweating. Though i'm on the more mobile end of the spectrum when I play. Lots of running/crawling/moving up. If I played more stationary style, I would have wanted a coat I think.

Also, had no issue with cheapo paint from Dick's. X-ball Triumph I think? It seamed like reasonable quality, accuracy was fine, didn't get many barrel breaks, and no chops. Broke well on target with few bounces.

When I had my own little field with no shop near by I used the cheap dicks stuff (blue box) and it done fine. You can usually find a 10 or 20% off coupon as well so that helps. Glad the g3 was fine.

We used to buy all of our paint from Dicks. I can't remember what the brand was, but it was a blue and orange tiger stripe and it shot surprisingly well and broke very consistently. Those were the days before I knew what Redemption was though, but at about half the price and during my college years, the tiger stripe did just fine! I would buy it again today if I needed some cheap paint to play outlaw

Back when I reffed, we used to buy the winter-grade paintballs for the cold season. But I don't play in the cold anymore, I couldnt even guess what brands are best for cold weather today.

"Winter paint" defined as thicker paint, and a lower freezing point. I remember in the early 90s, we used to buy "RP Super Shell", and "RP Stingers". Sold as "designed for seimautos", but we found they were far less likely to bust in the gun in winter. Unfortunelty, they were also less likely to break on the market, so they got a bit of a bad reputation back then.

I've been shooting GI frostbite lately. It's boring out to a nice .682 or so and flying straight. No barrel breaks last time in ~35 degree weather.
