Playing in winter

So that cold weather is upon us I wanted to get recommendations on things to look out for or change.

Yeah you should dress in layers
Try to keep paint warm as long as possible.

But what about the gun itself? We plan on driving 2 hours to an airball field this weekend and weather is slated for 19/39 degrees.

Should I up my dwell on my gtek and other markers to be safe or wait and see how they do first?

Should I change from Sl33k to something a little thinner?

Any other tips/tricks?

We have a demo gtek that has been out on field all day every day since the beginning of November in 20-40* temps. We only had one small issue with bolt stick at the very beginning because the bolt was bone dry. Re-lubed it and it has worked where most other guns fail. We absolutely love the gamma core.

Bring extra batteries. Also, we found that many of the "high end" masks were fogging up like crazy. Wearing a headband instead of a beanie seemed to do the trick for most players.

We have also been shooting G.I Frostbite for the last month and this has been the best batch of winter fill we have seen up here...probably ever.

Don't just wear warm cloths. Wear layers, once the game starts you are likely to warm up quick and wish you had a layer to take off.

Cover skin, Hits hurt like hell when they hit cold bare skin.

Whatver you do, don't try to use a spool valve gun in cold weather. It's going to end badly.

Lithium batteries do much better than others.
I doubt there's a way to distinguish between good warm weather vs cold weather grease... The thickener won't change much with temp, and nobody will tell you which oil is in it.

This may sound silly, but if you have facial hair of any real substance I recommend trying it with a small hair tie. This helps vent moisture away from the bottom of your mask where it would normally fog up. I have a big bushy beard and it has made a big difference for me.
