So.....the wood fairies have visited again

and a close to minty kp3 will be dropping into my lap rather soon. No I don't have pictures yet. Although I do have a couple questions for the resident experts.
The connector which threads into the lower tube for the constant air has a crack in it. How diffucult would it be for me to either replace this connector or repair it?

What parts would I need to set this up to run off 12 grams? If the parts have a specific name would you mind sharing this info with me. If someone might have said piece or can point me in the direction of someone who makes them, or reasonable copies of these pieces, I would be grateful.

Finally, I offer up thanks and a small blood sacrifice to Velcor, hallowed be thy name, for sending the wood fairies to me after so long an absence. I was begining to think my prayers would never be answered. I am sorry I doubted your benevolence.

there's a kp donkey on some site right now if you want to be lazy.
for 12ies you need the cap on the fornt, the right length pusher rod, the pusher piece, and a piercing valve setup with seal. Alot of kp3s came ca only.

Al, i don't understand the first line of your answer. How would I be able to determine if this one is ca only? If it is ca only, is there any way to remedy this locally, or does it need to go west?

Look down inside the front tube with a bore light and see if it has a puncture pin... or if you have a valve tool you can pull the vale and see if there is a puncture pin on the cup seal. That would be the first indicator.

It looks like a donkey..... okay won't go there.... It's the dummy cartridge that isloooong and has a nut on it to screw into the lower tube. The end is tapped for 1/8 NPT so that you can put fittings nad hose on it to run to a tank.

No, I am not lazy enough to do that. It is as I said a rather minty piece with exception of the crack in the threading on the ca piece. I don't think this one will be going to be palmerized as a painter, however I could probably be talked into a trade for a sidetubed and spring fed kp2 should somebody have the desire.

I would much rather try and get an original piece to repair the damaged one. Once I have the marker in hand I will take pics so that you guys can help me identify and locate the proper part to fix it.

I depending on if your ca donkey is a one piece unit or a two piece (dummy with nut) it will make getting a replacement easier or harder if you wantt o stick with orignal hardware. Either way the parts pop here... someone sold one just the other day..... or you could call Palmers and see if they have the bits laying around.

Heck it could just be a fitting or hose that is shot.

It is the piece that threads into the tube, the threads on it are cracked at the bottom, approx. the last two threads. i believe it still threads,i'm just concerned about leaks. I'm also unsure of the quality of the co2 bottle, what size modern bottles fit into the ca brackets?
