There are 3 fields within a 45 minute drive of me. One of them I have heard both good and bad things about but haven't been to yet. The other is only still open because of it's name and location, I stopped playing any real games there 4 years ago and only played there big games until last year. They are in it for $$ and nothing else. When the owner stopped playing paintball and started playing golf he let the controls to someone else. It's been downhill ever since.
The local store is run by a great guy who is smart but also takes care of his regular customers. Here's an example. Last week I bought a cocker online with an e1 trigger frame. I know little about cockers in general and knew that the e1 would be far beyond my capabilities without a manual and copious amounts of booze. I dropped it off to him last week. This week when I went in he took it out and went through the entire thing right in front of me. He cleaned out connections, added a beaver tail, replaced screws and stuff that while still usuable didn't meet his expectations. Set up all the electronics, timed it and then we went out back to test fire it. My 9 year old daughter was with me and when she ran out of paint he went back into the store and got more. She shot until she got tired! When we got back inside I asked him what I owed him. He said $10... you can't beat that now can you?

Hey Moose,

That wouldn't happen to be "Paintball Wizard" in Hooksett, would it?

Paintball Wizard is by far my favorite shop. I've been going to their Tewksbury store since it first opened. Excellent staff and good prices.
I live practically across the street from Boston Paintball, but I would rather drive half an hour north for better service.

As far as fields go, OSG in Barnstead, NH is my new fav. Good staff, and the owner is a great guy (and a pump junky to boot). Been playing at Friendly Fire in Upton, MA off and on for years, not as great as it used to be, but still better than most. My favorite field, Triad Paintball in Kingston, NH, closed years ago and I've been a transient ever since.

You know, it takes more energy to point that out than to leave me alone.

Fitz-Hume: Did you hear that?
Millbarge: Yeah. It's a dicfer
Fitz-Hume: What's a dicfer?
Millbarge: To pee with.

well i've had mixed experiences with fields. some good and some bad. mostly though I get feeling from the owners of "why I am doing this". Now most stores on the other hand are pretty cool. I know that the guys at PB Sports are great. awesome customer service and you can tell they enjoy the sport and working in it.

like I said I've just noticed more of a tired feeling from field owners in the last couple years.

theres 5 shops within an hour of me (one being a hunting/fishing shop that supplys what they can)

the owner of the first one (dmz) has been playing for 18 years and he knows what hes doing but the problem is hes like doc (grumpy old guy that you get 1 word answers from) when you start to know him abit hes a great guy.
he also owns a field which is over 3/4 woods which is great

then theres a field with a shop called ntag same agg scene as normal but ive heard the owner has some nice old school guns stored away (kp2's smg's etc)and the damn bastard wont give them up (who wants his email )

theres npg (field)its owned by nice people but the refs and everyone else are just plain stupid i pulled out my mag the one day and everyone was like get that P.O.S off the field its not welcome here (i shot several refs that said that during the next game on purpose)

also theres a store named urban commando but its been closed when ive went by (the windows are black and silver tinted so you cant see threw)but ive heard good stuff about them they also sell military, spy stuff, and protection stuff and what not so i may find some vinatage stuff there but mostly milsim stuff

then theres the hunting/fishing shop they stock little and dont have the best new expencive super soakers but thats why i like them they are completely awesome people the best part is when they fill the tanks they actually fill what the tank is suppose to be filled at (20 oz in a 20 oz unlike the other guys that put 12 oz in a 20 oz tank) i try to give the local store all the help i can with their paintball stuff i'll go in and get some paint only needing 100 or so for screwing around with but i go in buy a bag of it and a barrel condom or some orings (whatever they have on the wall that no ones looked at really)and shoot the **** with them for awhile

yep i got carried away with this
