Where to play

I have thought about this and our university campus near us would be awesome. Thirty different buildings some connected, some stand alone, walkways, multiple entrance rooms, gyms, hallways man o man what a firefight.

The city that was abandoned by the Chernobyl nuclear power plant 20 years ago. Wicked post apocolyptic.

There is a state park in Massachusetts called Wompatuck that is an old abandoned Navy base. They made all the munitions for the north Atlantic fleat during WWII there. It's been abandoned for 40 years or so. There is a section of the park that is still closed off to the public with some awesome building on it. Others have played paintball there, i'm dying to. Trees growing inside military buildings, how cool is that?

I work for Costco and would love to take over my warehouse for an evening! Preferably on an evening where I have the next day off!

An off shore oil rig would be cool.

You mean the town of Pripyat? That'd be awesome, except for the radiation that makes paintballs glow in the dark and messes up your electronic guns. No wait, that'd be awesome, except for the cancer 10 years later...

Actually, I think I have already played on a field pretty much like an abandoned city. It's on an abandoned soviet airforce base in east Germany, close to the town of Mahlwinkel. There used to be over 10.000 soldiers and their families stationed there, so it's a fairly large place. There are 2 big games organised there every year, one in May and one in September, though they are only played on a relatively small area of the whole base.

Anyway, it's got a fairly post apocalyptic feel to it, with loads of abandoned flats, a school, a theater, a hospital, and some other buildings. Most valuable items have long been looted, but a lot of stuff still remains.

Here's a movie that shows a bit of the environment. I used to have a link to a large photo gallery with some great pics, but it got taken down...

Anyway, a few places where I'd love to play would be a very dense forest/jungle, a medieval castle, a large cramped urban area, and a scrapyard.

there's one in Allentown, I've never dared to go IN there. Ironic thing is the sounds of a frieghtyard linger in the not-so distance, so the regular and chaotic screeching of trains, along with clanking tools and ramblings of men shouting is all you hear in the distance.

It would be rather cool to play in the closed down and unrenovated parts of the old mental hospital back in Concord, NH. That place was creepy even in the areas they still used - an old friend's mother worked there and would give us tours when we brought her lunch sometimes!

I'd love to play in a multi levled bank, like the one I used to work at. Not only do you have all sorts of doors (only certian folks would have combos to certian areas just to make it difficult), but there is a cube city upstairs, creepy basement file storage downstairs, the street levle with some cubes and then the counter with vault, plus the extra vault with safe deposit area. Lots of little places to hide or play around.
