| Carrier of the Big Stick | The pro carbines are made but not for comercial use. They are only made for Pepperball Technologies. I too would recommend the PC. For Tippy parts I would suggest http://www.tippmannparts.com |

| Id recoment the pro-lite or even the pro Am over the procarbine. If your luck enought to find a MIni-LIte Then I would pic it up. The 68 Carbine and Pro Carbine use a valve that although is more efficient is more prone to falure. The most common failure with 68car procar valve is that rather than the gas line threading into the valve they used a flare fitting and oring. The Oring is what fails ( Ihave has success replacing the oring with 12 gram seals) The PC PA FA and Mini use a valve simmilar to that of the SMG and Specials, in that there are two cup seals (same as SMG cup seals IIRC) and a spring between them. The PA used a longer valve than the PC IIRC. I'll post some pictures this evining. |

| Active Member | It took me about $3 in hardware store parts and some macro line to put a prolite grip on my procarbine. I just put the original grip back on to have a Tippmann R/T trigger installed.

| MCB Supporter | I'm partial to the Pro-Carbine, but then I prefer the 45 grip too. A field I use to ref for has had the same Pro-Lites for what has gotta be close to 10 years. The only problems that commonly came up were wrecked sear springs and ball detents. Now keep in mind these were used every weekend, Saturday AND Sunday, for years, but they still perform great! Just another idea though, an ACI F4 Illustrator. I picked one up for $26 last week on eBay. It came today in great shape, just needed to be cleaned and included the original box & manual! Looks like new, shoots just fine! I've had zero trouble with ACI guns in the cold...

| You got that backwards, 68 Carbines and Pro-Carbines have the 45 grip. Pro-lites, and Mini-lites use the funky grip with the ASA built in. The Pro-Am uses the same shaped grip as the Pro-lite but its Pot metal (so is the fore grip) and the ASA is different (same location). PLus the Pro Am grip does not split in half like all the other Grips, you have to drive the pins out the side. Also the Pro-Ams grip is not as meaty around the sear pin (as it need not be becuase its metal) thus to fit a Pro-lite frame on a Pro-Am (done to reduce weight) or a Pro-Carbine/68 Carbine frame on a Pro-Am, The Pro-Ams body needs to be milled just slightely. Still no pictures yet, been busy as of late. I think I'll just put together a Tippmann "pro" series Identification chart/parts interchange list. (providing I have the time) |
