| I love my Pyre. That being said and having shot several different CCM "Snipers" I'm not sure the cost of either the Pyre or the S6 are worth the extra money. I've spent marginly over $200 and built "Snipers" that function just as well or at least close enough to make the improvement you get out of the S6 or Pyre insignificant for the increase in cost to buy one. If you got money to burn though you can not go wrong with either and they both shoot similar enough that getting used to either is simple and straight forward. Like many have been preaching hear if you have crappy paint you will shoot crappy no matter what gun you choose. The Palmers barrel with Wedgits does a great job of holding crappy paint in front of the bolt but it does not make crappy paint any more accurate. I tdoes though do a good job of ensuring the paint stays there so you can at least shoot something out of the barrel. My Pyre has moved to the front of my bag and is now getting used all the time but who's to say that will last for ever. Love affairs are fickle

| I would go with PPS. Efficiency is better. You could get a PPS adaptor to use cocker barrels, then you could use the barrel kit. I just prefer the brass.

| I've never heard of an S6 getting 500 shots from a 20 oz.. I've seen one get around that(maybe a little less) off of a 68/45 with 3000 PSI left. I know my Pyre got around 400-500 shots off a 3.5 oz, and I always ended up refilling it early because I thought I was low on air, only to be informed I still had half. This was filled to 4 oz., though.

| Pumper | My S6 got 30 shots on a 12 gr..... never really paid attention on the air usage. I would love to try a Pyre. I have owned most Carter's and just don't like them.... Phantom or Ghost any day. I agree that you can build a really nice Sniper for much less than the S6... and it will perform just as good. Peace
