Would it be wrong to trade a Maverick for a Micromag?

I've got a friend who somehow managed to get this Micromag for only 30! I don't think he has a clue of it's value either.

He doesn't really like it though and always plays with his X-Mag. He shot one of my Mavericks a few times and kinda likes it. He said he might want to trade me his Micromag for it.

Now I'm wondering, is it wrong to trade my Maverick for his Micromag (And possibly sell it some time later.)?

I'd do it. Don't know if that makes it right or wrong.

A micromag similar to that just sold here on this board for $250 in less than 2 days.

Yes, and that's why I'd feel kinda bad about it. He has no clue of it's value and trading it for a simple Maverick that I got for €40 would be kinda like ripping him off. He's a really cool guy and lets me borrow paint, tools, gear, and other stuff all the time. He also helped me out more than once with some other stuff.

On the other hand, he wouldn't really lose any money on it since he got it for just €30. He'd just lose some potential profit.

Trade him the Maverick and buy him dinner. When he finds out he was screwed, he'll know what it's like to be a chick.

Whenever I've been in that situation with friends, either they've wanted to trade something, or just give me something that was sitting around ... I've *always* been up front with them about how much it's worth if I know at the time. Friends are too important and aren't worth loosing over a couple of bucks. Usually they'll just say ... "cool, here ya go" and give it to you anyway.

If you both get what you want out of the trade, and arent trying to screw the other over, then whats the problem?

Just leave it open that you guys can trade back later if you are that worried.

Bwhahahahahahaha!

I'd do it, but then again I'm a slightly immoral person.

Ok, well I talked to him a little bit. He said I could have it if I gave hime my Maverick and €50. That means I'd pay about €90 for the micro. Not bad and still fair!
