Toys For SPE

Well we couldn't let CCM and KPCustoms be the only folks bringing toys to SPE...

My buddy Vlar has been doing chainmailing as a past time for years and he's recently decided to combine that with our mutual hobby of paintball. He's whipped up some chainmail tank covers for 3.5oz Co2 tanks as well as a few 13ci, 45ci, & 68ci HPA tanks. He's going to be bringing a bunch in a variety of colors for sale at SPE this year (you won't be able to miss us, we'll have a table). He's also gonna be taking orders at SPE (and soon on a website as well) for custom orders in whatever tank size and color you want (to match your phantom anno). In addition to the covers for sale, Vlar is also throwing a 3.5oz tank with a chainmail cover into the Raffle at SPE this year. It will most likely be an Aluminum / Black Rubber cover.

So what do you guys think? Pretty cool or what?

These look great, can he make mail for facemasks? I have a Profiler mask that I think this would look great on.

Are you taking orders for his work? I would be interested in the mask armor and a 3.5 oz tank cover too. What price?

Start a thread Dealers Forum - mcarterbrown.com with prices and you'll probably get a lot of orders pretty quick.

Awesome!

Will these be for sale online as well? I'm not going to the event any time soon, but I'd love to have one of these!

We're going to have a sale site for ordering them online up sometime after SPE; likely next week or the week after. I'll be sure to update with the ordering site once it's gone live. The site will be for ordering most of the standard sizes (3.5oz & 13ci in that smaller weave & and 45, 68, 70, & 88 in proportionally larger weave) and most color/material combinations.

I suspect we could make a chainmail cover that would drape over the bottom grill portion of the mask though I'd have to get back to you on the details of that after the site has gone live and we've gotten things organized.

Cool let me know about the mask.

For the tank covers, how much will a 3.5 oz tank cover cost in the Japanese Weave on Black Rubber with Brass?

I just wanted to let everyone know we got the website up and running. Not all the pages are done, but the Gallery has more pictures, including pictures from SPE. We got some pictures of markers with their new, usually matching, tank covers.

I think we'll be taking some advice and setting up a sale thread here. I still need to comb through the rules to make sure I don't step on anyone toes in the process.

Here is a talk cover I made for a customer this week. It was made to match their pink marker. That's pink anodized aluminum and black rubber, all in the Japanese design on a 3.5oz CO2 tank.

Shoot me an email at pbchainmail@gmail.com and we'll talk about that.
