I hadn't thought of that soldered in piece....Yeah, you wouldn't be able to float solder all the way down there....

When I soldered my Moly one together, I ened up cutting a TINY piece of brass tubing to put in the transfer hole to help hold them together. It worked pretty good actually. The trick is getting the little tube in such that it doesn't protrude into either barrel...(so it can't be thicker than the barrel tubing...) I tell you, the system that I really liked was that for the Nelspot 707/Crosman 150. It had a strip that is similar to those cocker frame to PGP adapters, only milled on both sides. It has a little foam seal around the transfer hole....(it works because the gun is held together with clamp rings....It just makes me wish harder I had a mill...

Catchya on the Flip Side.....

It may be a cheaper alternative, but it is not the best alternative.

PPS is the best alternative IMO. They may not be cheap but the performance tune is MUCH better than the turbo valve. They take valve tuning an extra step.

Another thing you may want to consider is installation. The Turbo valve isnt supposed to be just dropped in by any guy with knowledge about 'guns. I have one but I still can't get it to work in my PMI-1. It leaks because I don't know exactly how to put it in and every time I put it in I worry to death about stripping the valve threads. Not only that but it really needs the transfer holes opened up to work at all. Without the transfer port opened it's basically a stock valve with a light hammer.

So, basically it will need to see a good airsmith sooner or later and it will probably be PPS anyway because they are one of a few who know what they are doing with sheridans.

Agreed. I too was think of taking apart my Palmarized PMI1 and copy their method to work the same on my P68, but I will find it difficult to match the springs and hammer, so I'll be sending it in. 15 shots from a 12g is bad. Bad I tell ya.

THE-SHOOTIST Anyone chubbin' like me for this?
mailmanmike Since Monday! That's more than 4 hours though, so according to those cialis ads I should see my doctor.
tlane77 I think for a non-chemical chubby it's 6 hours before its time to see a doctor. So you should be good for another couple hours.
splattttttt I wasn't goin to google "chubbin" because I assumed it had to do with fat. The lard type, not the fun stuff. But what ever feelings Jeff's experiencing, then they must be of the fun like stuff...
