Why are pumps so Expensive.

The idea of a pump seemed realy cool. Super fun and challenging to shoot, save paint, learn better tactics and movement. But searching for one to fit my spec that isnt $500.00 plus has prooved thoroughly discouraging. I thought pumps being simpler mechanicly would be cheaper. Boy was i wrong. No wonder you dont see anybody using them in rec ball.

Which pumps are you looking at? What are your "specs?" You can get a used Trracer for well under $100. Also, you can get a 2k+ Autococker and buy a pump kit (CCM Deluxe or standard kit) for under $200 after buying both.

Well what are your specifications? I can almost guarantee that someone here has something for you.....I might for that matter. What is it you're looking for?

A new phantom, in 2 color acid wash, is like $300...

If you haven't even tried pump yet, how do you even have "specs"? Not to be rude, but how can you know what you are even looking for?

Maybe his specs are "Lapco Grey Ghost"

PGPs are dirt cheap and Ebay usually has tons of them for sale.

Just roughly scanning the first page of the pump section here and there are markers for 150, 220, 60, 100....all of which are good shooters and perfect for a starter in pump. As everyone has stated....not sure what you want that's 550.
