So other than the non-fatal "hits", 300-round M4 magazines, and acceptance of seriously overweight "troops", it's totally realistic.

Oh, and the eye protection. Other than the eye protection, non-fatal "hits'...

(I'd still like to play sometime)

You know you might be on to something here. Take their vest and either wire it up to a large capicitor, or a electric dog training collar that shocks the crap out of them when they get hit. It would even add more realism as when they take a hit and they would be honestly screaming in pain. It would ensure honor.

right, and the argument of which hurts more would finally be settled.

I would hate to see what happens when it rains though lol.

If they were wired with shock collars, I have a remote that activates them for training hunting dogs. It might be really funny to watch the games from the sidelines and just push the button every once in a while.

That would work perfectly...It'd be kind of like a bomb....you could set it for short range and rid it as a trip-wire

They are different games, like bocce and rugby. One is fancy, one is messy. My son and I played again yesterday with our spring powered pistols. He seems to be a natural snapshot, but still has room to improve on movement. Laugh at the air-softers all you want, but some kids are learning and improving from it. Airsoft is cheap practice as far as I am concerned .

Oh I know it didn't originate in paintball, what I was meaning is these guys were campers they had it in there head that if they get shot then they are "dead", so they would just form two opposing battle fronts and fire at each other...Games could last up to two hours- I show up and the camping business is driving me nuts, Heck I moved up on one guy who was 50yards away, I just kept a 55gal drum in between me and him. Alls he had to do was take a 3' side step to see me, He never saw me moving up. And like I said these guys are starting to move around allot more and taking more chances. In the very very near future they will be better than me.

Pepper, suggest that someone on field learn CPR.
It's rather distracting when you cause one to stroke out on you.

you want to check yourself? not everyone who plays D&D live in the basement, think Gary Gygax is God, thought that LotRs was a documentary, have more than menial task jobs to fund their habit. your statement to me is in the same vein as equating piantballers to a militia-esque group that all have stupid names that go around "playing war" in the woods with toy guns thinking that its real life.

now, i'll be the first to say that there are those that have fallen off the path and could believe or do dress up and blur the image of reality and fantasy, but can't you say that for Trekkies or Star Wars fans? i can't tell you how many vehicles i've seen(maybe it was one as they get around at warp speed )with "StarFleet Academy" stickers in the back window. are they any better, or what? or what about the people that attend Origins, or ComicCons? hey if you want to take on a nation(albeit some fastly overweight and most with barely any athletic abilities) go right ahead, but like i said, you might want to check yourself with that statement.
