| Post Whore | Naval posibilites for a paintball game? I live on a part of a river, where for 200yards or so it is super slow moving, 4-6ft deep, has plenty of woody debre, and is about 30 ft wide.. while walking it today with my friend, I was messing around and held my fishing rod like a marker, and realized the potential for that area.. A Naval battle!! sort of... I want to have 2 teams, both with people in the water and out, or everyone in the water coming at each other in an elimination game, or possibly a scenerio deal.. What I was wondering is if this is even possible.. Water in the barrel will mess up accuracy, no doubt.. but will water be able to go up into the feedneck and mingle with the paint? My pumps are closed bolt, so I think they should be good.. at least for a momentary dunking, but would a blowback survive with out much paint getting goo'ie? how about a tippmann? Obviously, there will not be an electrical markers... anyway, what are your guy's thoughts on this? |

| I'm thinking of something a lot more mobile: A group of two man kayaks, man in back is the engine, guy in front is the gun, and can also paddle for that extra burst of speed. (At summer camp a long, long time ago, we used to play a variant of this with sailboats, and no paintball. One person would control the boat, the other would ride the bow, when they got close to another boat, the guy up front would leap across and try to take pieces of equipment of the opponents boat.) |

| nelson fanboy | Waterproofing techniques from the Navy, ziploc your ammo and seal your markers barrels and hoppers somehow. Im curious for any marker, since they all carry paintballs in either tubes or the hoppers, how do you propose to seal the bolt system and barrels and feeds so that water doesn't affect paintballs?

| Post Whore | well, most blowbacks and mech markers/pumps have the bolt, which pretty much seals the chamber from the hopper.. eliminating blowback.. and also, ever held a cup under water upside down? it traps the air, and won't fill with water I'm thinking the hopper will do that.. and I think the snap lid on a shake'n bake hopper is a halfway decent seal |
