My New "Whore-ific" Gear Bag

I was at Home Depot today buying paint for the house, and noticed the tool box display. A few quick measurements confirmed that the Stanley rolling tool box will comfortably fit KP rifles. So I've got my new gearbag

It also has an integral lock on it, loops so you can chain it to a tree, big wheels, a good extendible handle and a removable top rack for tools. It's also a pretty sturdy bench.

Only downsides are the physical size (and weight when filled with brass) and the lack of a middle removable rack. It is rather deep and I'm not a fan of stacking equipment on top of equipment. I'm thinking I'll make some sort of rack that fits inside to keep the rifles from rattling around and trying to work out some sort of stackable system to layer the contents.

Glad to see I'm not the only one rolling with Stanley!

A good idea would to be to cut some eggshell foam separators.

Screw in wood or plastic gun rack hooks (the sort you normally see on pickup trucks) on dividers (im visualizing u using bout..4 pairs of racks, with inner 2 being on a divider) and you may be able to get it to also have a way to put a middle tool box or similar to it design, that way you can hold oh say, 8 KPs in there and have room for a box and mask and air or you can go classy and install felt lined wood dividers

You lose so much space by laying them down you need to make some nice stands to make them vertical inside the box itself and the boxes would come in units so you have say 3 units with 8 kps each that gives you 24 kp's that you could fit in there...

The boxes should be as tall as your tallest marker in that box so that it won't mar anything and then you can have plywood dividers with foam on the interior...

That's just how I would do it...

Thats cool, I have to get a new gearbag but not sure what to use. I saw someone use a rolling suitcase once. I dont think I would want hard plastic, fits the KPs nicely though.

I use the same one. I've had it for about 2 years now and it's really nice to be able to lock it up when I hit the field.
