Long lost KP2

I originally found this forum in November last year as I was thinking of getting back into paintball after being away for 13 years. Marc (Phantom Power) saw me post somewhere else and suggested I come here. I came here looking for a kp2 thinking no one would want those anymore . Anyways in 1986 I started reffing for a local field and after a year with that field I bought a KP2 off of the field owner. Like any dumb 17 year old I cut the stock off, hacked the stock feed to accept a D.F. and put a 7 oz tank with remote line and dummy 12 gram. I know, I know dip me into hot oil now and have done with it. But remember back then around here they were common to us. Anyway the owner bought the gun back about a year after that when I bought my 68 special and needed the money. A year after that I bought the field from this gentleman, he disappeared and five years later I closed the field when I started college. I played for two more years then my oldest boy was born and paintball took a backseat to family. Fast forward 13 years and here we are. A new paintball shop opens down the road, I find out I know the owner from playing in tournaments back in the day. His son I know as he used to drive a Snap on tool truck that came into our shop (small world eh?). Well I hit it off pretty well with the son and while talking about my old playing days I tell him about my beloved KP2 and how if I had any brains I would have kept it. When I describe this marker to him he gets a wierd look on his face and starts asking me specific questions about what the tank brackets are made out of, any names etched on the stock etc. Turns out he has my KP2! It is in pieces in a box, in his storage building. This gentleman is going to GIVE me back my kp for free. I cannot believe this. I have always wanted to get another but to actually get the actual first marker I owned is unbelievable. For those that read the whole post I will get pics up when I have my pieces back lol.

Now all we have to do is find the lake that the Canadian army dumped all those KP's and BE guns into!

I've heard about this story from multiple Canadians... that did not know each other.... so it's either a Canadian Urban legend... or a big joke they play on American paintballers.
