Sort of like the terrorist attack on the Twin Towers in New York was blamed for the huge increase in insurance premiums on every kind of insurance imaginable shortly after 9-11. The next year all the insurance companies had huge record profits.

Give someone a band wagon that will earn them more money, and you can be sure they'll jump on it...

odd. i remember the 2000rd boxes being sold in 1998......? (10 years ago)

I remember paying $8 for 100 crap paintballs at the FPO field in 1994-1997 years, and then being overjoyed by the $25 per 500 rounds...... after paying $16 for 200 paintballs (1 hopper full) then finding outlaw games...then being depressed when its $20 per 500 right now.....at the local. lol.

Heck I remember walking into Capital Paintball in Coventry RI when I was younger and buying 500 rounds and that would last 2 weeks. I think it cost $15.

Amazing what's changed in 10 years.

I am not really suprised to see paint prices increasing. Name something that hasn't had a price increase in the last year. The increasing price of oil and natural gas causes everything in our economy to increase in price. Meanwhile, our out-of-touch politicians continue to vote down the development of known domestic oil supplies...go figure.

I used to pay $200 for a 2500 rd case back in the 80's (yeah it sucked, each time I fired I'd be like, Dime, dime, dime.. damn it cost me 30 cents to shoot that guy) but if I was willing to pay that back then when I only made $250/week (before taxes) I guess I'm gonna continue to play now... although I really don't wanna be going Nickle, nickle, nickle.

I remember it cost anywhere from five to eight cents a ball back when I started.

I only play like 6 games a year so I don't really care as long as it isn't 100 bux.
