I am trying to get my bank account associated with my paypal account so I can transfer funds but for some reason it (paypal) keeps telling me that my account does not exist.

I have tried various tricks and ideas, I even spent an hour on the phone with (paypal) tech support and aside from telling me to do what I had already tried they were no help. When switched to the super my call was dropped.

No matter though, whats killing me is that I have funds tied up and cannot do anything with them except spend it on paypal purchasing. Now this normally wouldnt be an issue but I setup the account so I could sell a few things and pay some bills. Its coming time real soon to make the payments and still I am stuck.

Does anyone have a solution or a trick to try?

Ive done that. I think i've verified my info at least three times now. I really dont know what else to do at this point.

I know I can get the paypal debit card and also request a check, I am not sure that those solutions would arrive in time though.

wow, never heard of that problem.

Something I should ask though, is your bank a larger bank? I know my bank has like 40 different routing numbers (found out when I filed taxes ... boy that was a pain). Perhaps that could be an issue.

Also is this a savings or checking account you have on there? That may make a difference.

I have the routing number and account numbers for both my saving and checking. I have made sure to click the right option when adding an account. The bank is indeed a smaller bank, there is just one branch.

Id really prefer to keep the bank and not switch.

Is there a "hidden 1" in the account number? Sometimes as smaller banks grow, they add 1's or other digits in front of basic account numbers.

On the same though do you have all nine digits of the routing number? Did you verify that with your bank too?

Ok I feel really dumb right now.

I was going over this with my lady and she saw my issue right away. In the third line off the account info I was putting in my full numbers routing and acount at the same time, I was only supposed to put my account and not routing in there.

I am not feeling smart about this.

You can also request a check from paypal, not sure how long it takes to receive it though.
