Allright, on the surface I am enthusiastic about the fly, though after a look at fixmyangel.com, and doing some math, it looks like I could buy an A1 and add the magno internals, and the 3 piece eye covers, and come out way ahead price wise. I was looking at the video to justify the $$ I might spend on the fly instead of piecing it together like I said.
Now did Max say the fly allows for aftermarket inline regulators, without having to buy the CP kit like the A1? Is the grip-tape replaceable when it wears out? Also, it was tough to see but is the trigger really that different? Anyone have any additional thoughts or corrections?

If you're tight on budget it would be better just to buy an A1 and peice it together, the fly is their luxury marker.

Yes you can buy aftermarket regulators for the fly without the CP adapter, I would assume so (I'm guessing it's just held on with some glue or somthing easily replaced)

Just a question, why would you bother replaceing the reg on the A1? It's a really good reg once you break it in.

I am not at all sure that I would. I was just trying to understand the features that seperate the Fly from the standard A1.

While I give Max Lundquist credit for being a pro player, I don't make much of him as a sales guy or reviewer. (No offense meant. Maybe it is a language barrier?) If you notice, in the video the interviewer seems to be mentioning more of the features than Max is. This doesn't bother me, but I think the sales job suffers a bit. As a result, I was a bit hazy on some of the specifics that might justify the purchase of the Fly as opposed to piecing together a really efficient A1 by getting the Magno kit, and some of the other upgrades.

Thanks Cyrus!

ehh, I think it would have been done better with an accomplished cameraman and someone who can speak the language easier and also is prepared better for the interview.

Ahh I see, carry on then. If you decide to take just a plain A1 drop me a PM, I'm considering selling mine to buy a fly.

He said something regarding magnets, rather than springs to actuate the exhaust valve pin.
That's the very same thing I got picked on when suggested it about four years ago on a different board. You know, the one where every one's a genius.
