I've found that the assessor's offices can be quite bitchy when you call them for info that they've made available online.

Yes im also from Rochester Ny and ive run into similar problems while exploring the old subway running into kids playing paintball down there with no protective gear

your violating one of the prime directives of civil service - thou shalt not rat out or complain about another civil servant.

I think all the other prime directives have to do with not working while on the job but actually making it look like work.

I'd contact the local police.

They've been to my house before when my 10yr old was accused of throwing rocks at a local house. ( Yes he was there, no he didn't participate but he also did not stop it from happening. Yes hes was scared of the Police. Yes he was reprimanded for the situation).

I believe that the parents need to be made aware of the situation. Many don't seem to care what the kids do as long as they do it elsewhere.
They need to be reminded that they are legally and therefore financially (this usually wakes them up) responsible for juniors actions.

It would not be fair to others if the land owner closed the disc golf course due to some miscreants. In this age of sue happy people, you can't blame him.

I'm going to head down to the Sheriff's office after work today since it's right down the street and file a report. Hopefully I can convince them to send an officer out to these houses to do a little investigating. It would be nice to put an end to this before someone gets hurt.

My issue with calling the cops is these kids would see them coming and most likely take off. Whereto I don't know, but if I can detain one, it would certainly make it easier. I'm kind of hoping Drum would chime in here and let me know what I'm allowed to do. Maybe I'll give the Sheriff's office a call this afternoon and see what they say to do.

Either way, the number is going in the phone and the gogs are going in the bag for next time.
