| Looking for some gloss silver anno jobs So, when I get my 'Borg milled, I'm thinking about having it anno'd dust black and polished silver, like the 'Borg (body) seen here. That way, it'll match my Palmers guns. However, so I get a better idea of what that looks like, anybody have any pics of other markers anno'd in that style? Also, is that actually an anno, or just some sort of coating on bare metal? |

| It's my understanding that silver/chrome anodize is generally still dyed after the metal is highly polished, and plain/clear anodize (electrolyzed, but no dye used) comes out more of a whitish grey color...but not 100% on that.

| A good example might be the Brass Eagle Raptor "Silver eagle" edition: Like Mayvik said, it is annodized, but with no ink. Basically, you get the look of polished aluminium, but without oxidizing, or scratches. Not as shiney as chrome, or nickel, but won't chip, and is very strong.

Not much to be done for that, but it is lessened on a polished finish. Dust finish, IMO, is white, not silver.
