Autococker pneumatic trigger idea, again!

Alright the problem with the pneumatic trigger for the autococker has always been the three way. But I think I just figured that out. Just need a little help working out the kinks and possible flaws.

Alright start out with the basic pneutrigger set up, however the exhaust on the ram for the sear is now tapped for a barb. The host on the barb leads to the the way ram, yes a ram for the three way. The same ram style of ram that would be used for the sear would also be used for the 3 way. The piston of the ram would have drilled/made to hold the 3 way rod. If you need more explanation I'll be happy to go into it more.

Possible problems, short stroking is still possible. Timing should be correct just because of the way its set up, however the throw on the 3way ram may need adjusting and I'm not sure the best way to go about doing that. Also mounting the threeway and ram set up could be a problem.

An idea that I'd like to intergrate but I'm not sure how to, would to have the ram for the sear either disengage the sear to allow it to reset properly.

This is a picture of the 3 way and ram set up.

The pitfall I see is that MPA-3s are one-way rams. So there is no exhaust per se.

I was looking at the hole in the side of the ram and I mis correctly assumed it was an exhaust port, you are correct. Any ideas for venting some air to the other mpa?

One-way valve of some type? QEV exhaust tapped?

That hole in the side is a vent but it wont be enough air to power anything.

what if the actuator in the grip frame activates the sear-ram on the pull and the 3-way ram on the release?

Isn't that just a limiter on the piston travel?

Is it me or is that exhaust on the qev threaded, seems like that could work for second ram.

Timing is a bigger problem then you make it out to be.

You need the sear to fire BEFORE the bolt starts to move. In your design, in order to fire the sear, you have to wait for the bolt to move, in order to divert the exhaust gas from the primary ram to power the 2nd sear ram.

It simply would not work as a closed-bolt.
It would work, however, as an open-bolt. In that, you reverse the primary ram hoses, then divert the exhaust to work like a "reactive" sear trip. Timing is still tricky, but here you have the advantage where you can adjust out the 2nd ram to delay the timing.

Thats lots of work though, when you can just take the "easy" approach in doing a vector-style pnuematic trigger (ie swap hose, trim sear, add nelson-style autotrigger).

Maybe I confused you hp, the air would vent from the ram that fires the sear FIRST, then that air goes to the cocker ram 3 way set up.
